Bargaining Update

Today, October the 15th, our Bargaining Committee, accompanied by our USW Staff Representative, Charlene Crawford, met for the first time with CLP management and their legal representation for one hour. In this session, all parties introduced themselves to one another. Each side offered opening statements, both expressing an intention to bargain in good faith. We also discussed the times and dates of our subsequent meetings. No proposals were passed by either side in this short opening session. Our Committee Co-Chairs, Inga Schmidt and Stephen Laskaris, offered opening statements expressing the spirit we wish to bring to bargaining. Please read those statements here.
