Bargaining Sessions 22 & 23

February 24 & 26
After a day of preparing responses, we met with management on Wednesday and Thursday this week at CLP-Main. We continued negotiating on economic issues of wages and leave.
We reached a tentative agreement on Attachment A, management’s leave proposal. Please read over Attachment A here. Pay attention to proposed changes in our vacation, PTO rollover, part-time PTO, bereavement leave, and paid leave. The modified Attachment A addresses many of our leave priorities, so after reaching this compromise, the bargaining committee withdrew our leave proposals except for UE-8, paid holidays for part-timers.
Negotiations continue on wages. At the end of this week, CLP proposed a 5.75% increase for the first year and 2.7% increases for 3 subsequent years. We proposed an 8% increase for the first year and 4.25% increases for 3 subsequent years. We reached a tentative agreement on our contract duration, with an expiration date of June 2029. As always, everything is tentative and subject to change until you, the membership, vote to ratify or reject the agreement.
Bargaining dates are scheduled for March 11 and 12 at CLP-Main. Our next unit meeting is Sunday, March 1, 6:30 pm, at the Friend’s Meeting House with an option to attend virtually. Please come with questions and thoughts.
In solidarity,
The Bargaining Committee of USW 9562**
